Why Wintergreen?

People have been asking, "Why Wintergreen?" Linda Hammer Burns, my co-author of Miscarriage: A Shattered Dream, and I brainstormed for hours over the name of this publishing company.  Together we came up with Wintergreen.  The following represents my recollections as to why this seemed to be the 'right' name. In the winter of our grief it is hard to have hope - the darkness and especially the whiteness of northern winters can be overwhelming.  But, if you look around and work at it, there is green and hope.  Many trees and bushes keep their green despite the challenging winter --the cold, wind, and snow. If we persevere and believe, there can be hope, green, and growth ahead.   That is my wish for every bereaved family member.
